Former Rye School Board Trustee Nets Most Write-Ins

RYE, N.Y. -- Former Rye Board of Education member Bob Zahm received the most write-in votes in the May 17 election, according to results certified by the Westchester County Board of Elections.

Met baseball team mascots and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump also received write-in votes.

There were a total of 40 write-in votes, according to Sarah Derman, a spokeswoman for the Rye Central School Districts.

The winners in the school board race were Jennifer Boyle and Katy Keohane Glassberg with respective vote totals of 1,270 and 1,206 as previously reported by Daily Voice.

In addition to Zahm's three write-in votes, Boyle, J. Culyer, Steve Feeney and Ed Fox each received two votes. Two votes were cast for "none."

Others receiving one write-in vote apiece besides Trump were Andy Ball, Dan Conway, Robert Cypher, Mark Doran, Theodore Druckmann, "Fat Al," Emily Hurd, Megan Kelly, Scott MacVicar, Jason Mehler, "Mr. Met," "Mrs. Met," Amber Nee, Owen Nee, Kutluk Oktay, Margaret P. Peters, Peter Rukeyser, "Sam My Cat," Leon Sculti, Danielle Taggart-Epstein, Donald Tice, Steven Tuch, Abby Tuttle and Doug Tuttle, according to school officials.
