Search Launched For Boat Renter Gone Missing At Spotylsvania's Lake Anna A major search has been launched for a Spotsylvania County woman missing since the weekend. Maya Olivia Smith, of Culpeper, was last seen renting a boat at Lake Anna in Spotsylvania County around 12:30 p.m. on May 11, the Louisa County Sheriff's Office said. She was last seen wearing a purple sweater jacket with a zipper, and baggy dark blue or black pants. Her hair now has highlights and is styled short and “poofy”.  Anyone with information is asked to contact LCSO at 540-967-1234 or anonymously at 800-346-1466.

Miller was heading south on Tidewater Trail on a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle, when he struck a northbound Dodge Charger that had exited Briarwood lane around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said. Miller, of Spotsylvania, died at the scene of the crash. Man Raped Victim Under 13 Years Old, Leesburg Police Say A 47-year-old man has been charged with raping a child under 13 years old, authorities in Leesburg said. On Sunday, May 12, the Leesburg Police Department received a report of a child who was sexually assaulted by a person known to them, local police said.  After conducting an investigation, officers arrested Aroldo Santos Velasquez, who was charged with rape of a child under the age of 13 and object sexual penetration.
