Employees Hospitalized After Discharge At Warren County 911 Communications Center: Authorities
An accidental fire suppression discharge at the Warren County Public Safety Building and 911 Communications Center forced employees to be hospitalized on the afternoon of Thursday, May 2, authorities said. The fire suppression discharge was caused by outside contractors working on the building, the county said in a release. As a precaution, county employees were taken to the hospital where they were checked, cleared and released, the county said. A 27-year-old Newark man was arrested on Friday, April 26 for flashing his genitals to passing vehicles in Hackettstown, authorities said. On Tuesday, March 5 at 10:37 a.m., Jared Aponte flashed his genitals to vehicles at Valentine Street and Jefferson Street, Hackettstown police said. A driver escaped serious injury Thursday morning when her SUV slammed into the side of an apartment building in Hasbrouck Heights. Tenants in at least two units at the Boulevard Apartments were temporarily displaced, however. Services have been finalized for Marcin Bednarz, a 22-year-old paramedic from Bergen County who died in a New York crash on Sunday, April 28. Marcin, a paramedic with the Wallington Fire Department, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Arden Valley Road in Tuxedo, N.Y. at 3:18 p.m., according to a New York State Police report. A fiery explosion left one woman dead and four others hurt at a manufacturing company in Old Bridge on Wednesday, May 1, authorities said. A box truck towing another box truck overturned on Route 80 in Morris County on Tuesday, April 30, authorities said. At 9:15 p.m., the box truck was traveling westbound on Route 80 in Mount Olive Township when it lost directional control, causing both vehicles to overturn, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
