Somers High School Takes A Stand On World Vision Day

SOMERS, N.Y. -- Somers High School's STAT (Students Taking Action Today) Club is celebrating World Vision Day on Thursday, Oct. 9.

All around the world, people are wearing sunglasses to show understanding for the plight of people unable to afford vision care. 

STAT is selling sunglasses all week and proceeds will support children in the LaCarpio refugee camp in Costa Rica.

World Vision Day was created to raise awareness for the people in developing countries with vision impairments.
