Cortlandt Neighbors Notes

Jennifer Clark was on a mission after losing her baby weight.  She looked good, but she wanted to look and feel better while getting some definition of her physique.  She found her coach, Cathy Savage, from Boston and she hasn’t looked back.  At the age of 40, with tremendous support from her husband, Tom and her four kids, ages 9, 7 and 5 year old twins, Jennifer has competed in three events.

On Saturday, June 25th Jen and her personal cheering section were at the WBFF (World Body Fitness Federation) Eastern Championships in Boston. She proudly took home 3 trophies in Figure and Fitness Model Divisions.  The kids are busy figuring out where to put all of Mom’s trophies; they’re going to need lots of space as Jennifer’s goal is to turn pro by the end of the year.

Beginning on July 9, Jennifer and her friend Jen Minihan, a registered nutritionist will be offering a fitness boot camp and nutrition chat for anyone interested in a lifestyle change.  For information regarding the boot camps, please e-mail Jennifer Clark at clark200@optonline.net  There will be two additional sessions on 7/23 and 8/6 as well as a series in the fall.

After months of writing, filming, editing, and planning, Kait Weston premiered her first original composition and video, Carry Me Home, on YouTube on Thursday, June 23.  In a matter of days it has already had nearly 9,000 views (at this writing).

Kait, a 2008 graduate of Hen Hud, kept the process local shooting the video at a friend’s home and West Point.  Haley Levesque, a Class of 2011 Hen Hud graduate created the cover art and filmed most of the video.  Haley’s portfolio is available for viewing at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/haleylevesque/  Kait edited a large portion of the video.

Sticking with family, Kait’s cousin Sean Scanlon (New Crystal Dolls) produced the piece.  Locals Ryan Martin, a 2007 Hen Hud graduate and a 2011 West Point Graduate from Verplanck, and Georgia Baker a 2011 graduate of Mercersburg Academy were cast as the couple. Susie, the dog, was cast as herself.
