It's Election Day on Tuesday, March 20 for many villages in Westchester. Polls are open until 9 p.m. Here is a summary of contested elections in Bronxville, Buchanan, Larchmont, Scarsdale and Tuckahoe:
Democrat Natasha Nordahl is running against Republican William Primps for a four-year term as village justice. The job was left vacant after the retirement of village Justice George McKinnis.
Buchanan Mayor Theresa Knickerbocker, appearing on the Democratic and Resident's Party ballot lines, is opposed by Republican Robert Lupica. The mayor serves a two-year term.
Three candidates are running for two unpaid seats on the Village of Larchmont Board of Trustees. Incumbent Democrats Carol Miller and Peter Fanelli are being challenged by Preservation Party candidate Sarah Bauer for a two-year term.
Four candidates are running for three unpaid Village of Scarsdale Board of Trustee seats. Incumbent Jane Veron is running on the Scarsdale Citizens NonPartisan Party line with Justin Ares and Lena Crandall. They're opposed by Robert Berg, a Voters Choice candidate. The term is two years.
Four candidates are competing for two seats on the Village of Tuckahoe Board of Trustees. Incumbent Antonio Leo is running on the Republican and Conservative ballot lines, along with Danny Lang. Democrats Sarah DeRise and Omayra Andino are running on the Tuckahoe United Party line.
