Canine Unit Investigates Suspicious Package At Rye Metro-North Station

RYE, N.Y. - Police were called to the Metro-North train station in Rye on Thursday morning to investigate a “suspicious package” was reported on one of the tracks.

A bag was reported on track four at the station shortly after 7 a.m., a Metro-North spokesperson confirmed on Thursday morning. An MTA Police Department canine unit was called, and the scene was cleared a half hour later.

The situation appears to have been benign. No injuries or other suspicious activity has since been reported.
