Contractors At Former Rye Town Hall In Port Chester Receive Fines

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- A federal agency has fined three companies working on the old Rye Town Hall in Port Chester for safety violations, according to a report in LoHud.com.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration in July issued fines totaling $11,480 to the contractors for unsafe excavation conditions at 10 Pearl St., LoHud.com reported.

The penalized companies are Carvalho Construction Corp., of New Fairfield, Conn.; 10 South Pearl St. LLC, of Armonk; and Lea-Rome Inc., of Putnam Valley, according to LoHud.com.
