Rye Residents Prefer Peppermint Mocha Latte During The Holidays

RYE, N.Y. -- The most ordered holiday drink in Rye is Peppermint Mocha Latte. For those who have never tasted one, the key ingredients are sweet mocha sauce, peppermint-flavored syrup, two shots of Espresso, steamed milk and whipped cream topped with chocolate shavings.

Although it weighs in at 440 calories, it does have 13 grams of protein. For those weight-conscious folks, there is a skinny peppermint mocha weighing in at only 140 calories. It also comes iced.

In second place is the Chestnut Praline Latte, which consists of praline syrup, two shots of Espresso, caramelized chestnuts, subtle holiday spices that mingle with steamed milk and whipped cream topped with Praline crumbs. It's 330 calories with 12 grams of protein.

And in third place is the Caramel Brulee Latte. Ingredients include Brulee syrup, two shots of Espresso and whipped cream topped with caramels. It's 310 calories.
