Talk about NERVE....
No power for over 7 days... limited (if any) resources to Westchester,
a credit of $ 6.00+ (wow)... and they now want a raise...
C'mon... give me a break....
If anything, their action (or lack thereof) should result a rate reduction!
But certain that they will get an increase... Thank you PSC & Gov. Cuomo! View Comment
Con Edison " claimed" to have over 2,000 crews out to restore
power. Where exactly are they being sent? Certainly not to
Eastchester. Yesterday, Con Ed managed to restore power to only 357
Eastchester customers. Today, more bad weather coming in so that will give Con Ed another reason to delay. We are all living now in a third world country!
All of us should file a formal complaint with the NY State Public
Service Commission... (not that will really do anything)
This situation is beyond reason now...

Con Ed is super with the Press releases...
In the last 24 hours they "managed" to restore power to
a total of 239 homes. At that rate they will "finish" restoring power
to all Eastchester residents in another 12 days.
Great work Con Ed!
In addition let's all remember that all of Con Ed's costs to restore power will be reimbursed by FEMA. Yes.. us taxpayers will be paying Con Ed
to do their job. Has anyone seen more then the single Con Ed
crew assigned to Eastchester?
Where are are U.S. Senator's now?
What are all of our elected officials?

Another day... still no Con Ed workers in Eastchester...
Where are our elected officials... ? they want our vote this tuesday but now= Nothing....Our family will remember this on tuesday...
Con Ed must be called into account of this massive failure...
Hope Con Ed executives enjoy Sunday football in their warm homes...
Sad...Sad.. View Comment
Sad... How about all of our elected officials, regardless of party,
DEMAND a face to face meet with Con Ed senior management and
ask for specific information as to numbers of work crews assigned
to each community here in Westchester County. Our elected officials need to hold Con Ed's feet to the fire and get actual information and numbers.
The time for patience is over Gov..... Our homes are freezing...
our children and seniors are becoming sick. It is great when your
residence has power and is warm to say "patience is required" Shame!
What is needed is a Billion Dollar + lawsuit filed against Con Ed.

Con Edison has moved at a snails pace todate. Do the executives of Con Edison truly understand that their customers are suffering. Where
are all of our elected officials asking questions and demanding answers
from Con Ed. A Billion Dollar plus class action law suit vs Con Ed
might prove really interesting as to where exactly they sent resources
during the discovery process. They sure did not send much to Eastchester..
One (1) crew??? View Comment
Compare the number of residents who were without power Friday morning to Sat. morning. It would appear that Con Ed did little if
anything to assist Eastchester residents during the last 24 hours.
All we seem to get from Con Edison is excuses..excuses.excuses.
Despite Con Edison's claims that resources were not diverted
to NYC , their record indicates otherwise. Has anyone seen the
single Con Ed crew, assigned to Eastchester, working anywhere
in town? There are homes with Senior Citizens and children
without power or heat. A Con Ed Senior Vice-President
states that those of us whosse homes are powered with
overhead wires are "stragglers". What does that mean? Unbelievable!
It is obvious, at least to me, that Con Ed just does not care. They
seem to always get a pass from our elected officials. I now understand that all of Con Ed's costs to restore power will be reimbursed by FEMA.
I would love to see a class action suit started against Con Ed by suffering
taxpaying customers. View Comment
OK.... so the SINGLE Con Ed crew assigned to Eastchester managed to get 159 customers back on line yesterday.... At that rate it will take
another 19+ days to get everyone power. Thank you Con Ed...
The vast majority of Con Ed resources are being devoted to
NYC and the "importance" of Sunday's Marathon.
A Senior Vice President of Con Ed calls those customers who are serviced by overhead lines "stragglers" (Today's NY "Post"). I might
suggest that we "stragglers" not pay our bills for several months and perhaps we then might get noticed.
For a Public Utility that is guaranteed a profit, to disregard
it's customers in such a manner, as being demonstrated, is nothing less
then a disgrace. Where are our elected officials? View Comment
According to Supervisor Colavita, Con Ed has one (1) crew working in
Eastchester. Wow!
Con Ed said they "hope" to have service restored by the weekend of Nov. 10th. Great News ! It clearly is obvious that their entire energy and effort is directed towards New York City and the NYC Marathon on Sunday. I wonder what a class action lawsuit filed here in Westchester would reveal regarding our second class status?

Is anyone "pleased" with the Con Ed response so far?
For a utility that charges the highest rates in the USA to only repair approximately 15,000 customers out of 180,000 per day is not really
acceptable. At that rate of repair it would take more then 10 additional
days to completely repair it's Eastchester customers.
Has anyone "seen" Con Ed crews working in and around Eastchester?
Guess Con Ed main concern is elsewhere then Eastchester.
