Numerous Crashes Reported On Slick Westchester Roadways

As steady snowfall continues into the evening hours Saturday, several motor-vehicle crashes were reported on Westchester roadways as nightfall arrived.

Here's a rundown:

Hutchinson River Parkway: Two vehicles crashed off the roadway near Pelhamdale Avenue in New Rochelle.

I-95: Crash southbound between Exit 22 and Exit 20 near the Rye/Port Chester border.

Route 100: Crash northbound near the Yorktown/Somers border.

Route 22: Crash northbound in North Salem just north of I-684.

From earlier Saturday afternoon:

Tappan Zee Bridge: Northbound, four-car crash

From Saturday morning:

I-684: Northbound, overturned vehicle off roadway in Katonah, occupants were able to leave vehicle.

Most of the area is expected to see between 3 and 5 inches of accumulation with 2 inches or more reported in most of Westchester by mid-afternoon.

A Winter Storm Advisory will remain in effect until 4 a.m. Sunday.
