Firefighters from multiple companies were working to contain a 10-mile stretch of wildfires in Camden County on Monday evening, April 15. More than 20 individual fires broke out across Winslow Township, spanning from Berlin-Cross Keys to Ancora State Hospital, the state's wildfire service said. The fires were all mostly contained as of 6 p.m. and were sparked by a passing train. Police ID Pilot Killed In Crash That Sparked Jersey Shore Wildfire
The pilot killed in a plane crash near Robert J. Miller Airpark in Lacey Township has been identified, authorities said. Oscar Molina, 61, of Long Brach was killed when his Cirrus SR20 crashed at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 near the Ocean County airpark, Lacey police said. He was the only person aboard the plane. Maui Wildfire: Essex County Native Helping Family Impacted
Nicole Conway's niece and her family were one of the many people impacted by the wildfires in Maui, Hawaii. Conway, a Belleville resident, has created a fundraiser to assist her niece and several other family members who reside on the island. As of Tuesday, August 15, $525 has been raised. Conway said her entire family is safe but they lost their home and belongings and currently staying with someone else. "They currently don't have much cell service and need everything to restart their lives," Conway said.

A 246-acre wildfire in Burlington County is now fully contained, authorities said. The Acorn Hill Wildfire at the Brendan T. A wildfire was raging in Gloucester County. The fire had destroyed 100 acres and was not contained, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service said early Tuesday, March 30.
