A 67-year-old South Jersey man has been sentenced to eight years in New Jersey State Prison for sexually assaulting four children under the age of 13, authorities said. On Monday, May 6, Andy Chanza, of Newfield was sentenced in connection with the sex attacks which took place over a period of 29 years in Vineland, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. Driver Charged With DWI After 3-Car Crash In Vineland: Police
A 38-year-old man from Millville was charged with driving while intoxicated after a three-vehicle crash in Vineland, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 4 at South Delsea Drive and West Sherman Avenue, according to Vineland police. In addition to DWI, Gibrant Espinosa was charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, uninsured motorist, endangering the welfare of a child, and assault by auto, police said. A 51-year-old driver from Atlantic County was killed when his car crossed the center line and hit another car head-on in Cumberland County, authorities said. Billy Hyslip of Absecon died in the crash, according to Vineland police. On Friday, March 29 at about 6:50 a.m., Vineland police responded to the 200 block of Park Avenue. A 71-year-old man from Vineland was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into a fence at Vineland City Hall, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 10:40 a.m. on Monday, March 25 at 640 E. Wood St. Robert Romano was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, Vineland police said.
