Truck Bursts Into Flames On I-80: Allamuchy FD A truck fire sent smoke billowing into the sky on I-80 in Warren County on Sunday, April 7, authorities said. At 11:30 a.m., first responders arrived tat I-80 West by Exit 19 and confirmed the fire, the Allamuchy Fire Department said in a release.  Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, bringing it under control within minutes, fire officials said. Firefighters remained on scene until 12:30 p.m., fire officials said. There were no reports of any injuries.

At 10:39 p.m. the Whitehouse Fire Company and Oldwick Fire Company responded to Route 78 eastbound by exit 78 for a tractor trailer fire, the Whitehouse Fire Company said on Facebook. Whitehouse Fire Company Firefighters used multiple lines to attack the blaze and were able to declare the fire under control before midnight, firefighters said.
