Authorities responded to a railroad crossing in Oxford Borough on Wednesday, April 17 after a train crashed into a tractor-trailer, police said. Officials said it happened at the Mount Pleasant Road crossing around 3:30 p.m. The road was closed between South Third and Grant streets for several hours while crews cleared the scene. A 22-year-old man has died after being struck by a train outside a business in the region. The Rensselaer County incident happened at around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, in Schodack.
