Suicidal Man Hospitalized After Walking Into Route 46 Traffic: Responders
A suicidal man was hospitalized after responders said he deliberately walked into Route 46 traffic in Little Falls early Monday afternoon. The 33-year-old man, who they said spoke only Spanish, was struck near the Browertown Road exit -- apparently after some type of domestic incident -- shortly before 1 p.m. May 6. He was taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson with serious bodily injuries. Little Falls police interviewed witnesses, notified the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and were seeking area surveillance and cellphone video.

Truck Fire Closes Two Lanes On Route 80: Wharton FD
A truck fire closed two lanes on Route 80 early Monday morning in Morris County, May 6, authorities said. Crews are still on scene cleaning up after the fire near exit 34 on Route 80 East in Wharton, the Wharton Fire Department said on Facebook. Overturned Truck Causes Traffic Nightmare On New Jersey Turnpike
An overturned truck on the New Jersey Turnpike has snarled the afternoon commute to halt on Friday, May 3. The truck overturned by Exit 13A of the New Jersey Turnpike near Newark Liberty International Airport and Routes 1 and 9 in Elizabeth, according to 511nj. It happened near milepost 151.1 on the northbound side between Dumfries and Triangle around 3:30 a.m., when a GMC pickup truck and Kia SUV collided, police said. The GMC overturned as a result of the crash, and a passenger was ejected. The passenger died at the scene. A vehicle veered off the Garden State Parkway in Cape May County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28 northbound North of Exit 6 in Middle Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
