A middle school student from the region is facing criminal charges after allegedly threatening to harm fellow students or teachers. In Albany County, administrators at Farnsworth Middle School in Guilderland contacted police on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 1 saying a student had been found with a list threatening “serious harm” to school members. Greenwich Woman Accused Of Sending Explicit Texts On Ways To Kill Her Mom
A 20-year-old Fairfield County woman is behind bars after allegedly texting explicit messages describing the different ways she wanted to kill her mother. Catherine Harper, of Greenwich, was arrested on a warrant on Friday, Jan. 5 for the text she sent on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023. According to Lt. Patrick Smyth of the Greenwich Police, Harper was charged with threatening and held on a $50,000 bond which she could not make. A 70-year-old Secaucus resident was jailed after police said he threatened his downstairs neighbor with a kitchen knife. It was an hour or so before noon on New Year’s Day when officers responded to the 800 block of 7th Street after a noise complaint escalated, Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
