A middle school student from the region is facing criminal charges after allegedly threatening to harm fellow students or teachers. In Albany County, administrators at Farnsworth Middle School in Guilderland contacted police on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 1 saying a student had been found with a list threatening “serious harm” to school members. The driver who backed into a 17-year-old girl, killing her, was trying to flee from an assailant outside of a Philadelphia charter school earlier this week, police said. The unidentified driver backed into Saniah Moore outside of Excel Academy South on Wednesday, Sept. 28 around 1:55 p.m., according to city police and Moore's family. A Dutchess County middle school student has been arrested for allegedly bringing a BB gun to school despite enhanced procedures. The student was charged on Thursday, March 10 at Poughkeepsie Middle School, said Irwin Goldberg, the public information officer for the Poughkeepsie School District.
