A group of boys assaulted and threw rocks at Boston police and their cars, shattering windows and injuring several officers, officials say. A 24-year-old Boston man was arraigned on second-degree murder charges stemming from the shooting death of a man in August, authorities said. Alexander Nunez was ordered held without bail on Thursday, Dec. 15, following the grand jury's decision, the Suffolk County District Attorney said. A Massachusetts family is mourning the loss of their 22-year-old son who was struck by lightning and killed during an outdoors course in Wyoming. John "Jack" Murphy was struck by lightning while camping in the Absaroka Mountains on Tuesday, Aug. 2, according to a release from the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).
