A busy bridge in Atlantic City will be periodically closed overnight next week as part of a major construction project. Crews for the state Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will work on the Route 30 drawbridge over Beach Thorofare from Monday, Feb. 26 to Friday, Mar. 1, the Atlantic City Police Department said. State troopers responded to a crash at 1113 Harding Highway in Buena just before 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced. Route 40 was closed for more than two hours Monday after a tractor-trailer jackknifed, authorities said. The crash occurred at milepost 7.7 on Route 1 near Jill Road in Pilesgrove Township, Salem County, just before noon, according to a New Jersey State Police spokesman.
