Overturned Truck Shuts Down Highway Ramp In Northampton County: PSP (Updated) Update: The ramp has since reopened, troopers said.  Crews are at the scene of an accident involving an overturned tractor-trailer on Wednesday, April 3, according to troopers.  Troop M's Nathan Branosky said the truck flipped on the ramp from Route 33 southbound to Interstate 78 eastbound in Lower Saucon. Drivers on Route 33 south are being detoured onto I-78's westbound lanes, state police said.  The ramp was still closed while first responders worked the scene around noon, Branosky said.

Firefighters Quickly Douse Blaze In Howell A family safely escaped a house fire in Howell, but a firefighter was injured, authorities said. The fire broke out at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9 at 948 Route 33, Howell police said. A 9-1-1 call was placed by an Eatontown firefighter who observed smoke coming from the residence. Upon arrival of the responding patrol officers, all occupants of the home were already safely evacuated, police said. Fire departments responded quickly containing and extinguishing the fire.  One firefighter suffered a cut to the hand. The firefighter was treated at the scene by the Howell Police EMS Division …

Samantha Crich and her daughter, Elizabeth, were coming home from a doctor's visit when they were struck by an out-of-control tractor trailer around 11 a.m., according to a GoFundMe campaign and Pennsylvania State Police. The driver of the vehicle shown above was the victim of a hit-and-run crash at William Penn Highway and Emrick Boulevard around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, Bethlehem Township Police said on Sunday, August 14. The westbound lanes were closed between Perrineville and Applegarth roads around 2 p.m. They had reopened as of 6 p.m. It was not clear how many people died and no further information was being released.
