The daily average COVID-19 rate in Amherst per 100,000 people was 26.6 last week, Feb. 4. As of Thursday, Feb. 11, Amherst’s COVID-19 rate is 78.8. Forecast: Multiple Snow Events Expected This Week On the heels of a snowy weekend, the National Weather Service is predicting more snow later this week. Anywhere between 2 inches and 5 inches of snowfall is anticipated for parts of Central and Western Massachusetts on Tuesday, Feb. 9, and possibly into Wednesday, Feb. 10, according to the National Weather Service.
