A tractor-trailer driver is hospitalized with severe burns after he crashed into a railroad bridge in the region, triggering a massive explosion and fire. The Schenectady County incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, in Glenville on Maple Avenue. Holden Fire Truck Sank Into Road As Gas Main Break Caused Sinkhole
A Holden fire truck got stuck after a sinkhole opened up beneath it as fire crews were on the scene of a gas leak on Tuesday, April 26, authorities said. State Department of Transportation workers struck the underground gas line at 1063 Man St. just after 12:30 p.m., which caused the leak, Holden firefighters said. Energy bills could be spiking for millions of New Jersey customers due to rate hikes on natural gas. Rate increases for natural gas customers were approved last month for PSE&G by the Board of Public Utilities. Central Hudson customers are going to see higher-than-expected energy bills, the utility company is cautioning. Cause Of Gloucester Home Explosion Remains Uncertain
The cause of an October house explosion in Gloucester County remains inconclusive, authorities said. The bodies of a man and a woman, both 82, were found in the debris of their home on Weatherby Avenue in the Clarksboro section of East Greenwich after the Oct. 27 explosion, according to East Greenwich Township police. One Person Hospitalized Following Fire At Two-Family Residence In Bridgeport
One person was hospitalized following a kitchen fire at a two-story, two-family residence in Bridgeport. The call for the fire came in around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at 54 Ives Court, said Bridgeport Fire Assistant Chief Rich D'Onofrio.
