Suspect Charged With Murder For 2022 Northwest District Stabbing: Baltimore Police
Baltimore Police have made an arrest in connection with a deadly 2022 stabbing in the city’s Northwest District. Melvin Moore, 43, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Michael Jackson, 55, Baltimore Police said on Thursday, March 14. Jackson was found with stab wounds in a home on the 1100 block of North Ellamont Street around 9 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2022 and pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later. A 32-year-old pedestrian from Mays Landing was killed in a crash, authorities said. On Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 1:18 a.m., the Township of Hamilton Police Department responded to Route 50 in the area of Spruce Street for a pedestrian-motor vehicle crash. Preliminary investigation revealed a 2013 Honda Pilot, operated by Michael Jackson, 65, of Egg Harbor City, was traveling northbound on Rt 50 when pedestrian Jessica Lavin entered the lane of travel and was struck by the Honda, police said. A Lancaster County teenage boy has been missing for over a week, according to East Lampeter Township Police. Michael Jackson, 15, of East Lampeter Township was last seen by family members on Sept. 19. He had been dropped off at a friend's house on Old Philadelphia Pike and never returned home.
