With less than 24 hours notice, a county in the region was notified that 80 migrants and asylum seekers would be dropped off at an area hotel. The drop-off will take place in Sullivan County at the Knights Inn in Liberty on Thursday, May 18. Sullivan County Legislative Chairman Robert A. Police were looking for a troubled man whose father sustained minor stab wounds in an assault at a South Hackensack motel. Carlos Rodriguez, 27, fled after the 8:40 a.m. incident on Sunday, Aug. 28, at the Knights Inn off Route 46, Police Chief Robert Chinchar said. A group of stick-up artists robbed two women at a Route 46 hotel, responders said. Authorities were trying to piece together details of the holdup at the Knights Inn in South Hackensack early Sunday, May 1. The women, both in their early 30s, apparently had been partying with the three Latino men and a woman when they were robbed of their cellphones. No injuries were immediately reported. Easton Bank Robbery Suspect Nabbed At Allentown Motel
A man wanted for allegedly robbing a bank in Easton was found and arrested at an Allentown motel Wednesday morning, police said. The US Marshalls Fugitive task force took Daniel Buzzone, 36, into custody at the Knights Inn in Allentown (1880 Steelstone Rd.) around 9:15 a.m., Easton Police Lt. Matthew Gerould confirmed. Buzzone is accused of robbing Santander Bank on North 3rd Street just before 12:35 p.m. on Sept. 22, police said. He has been charged with two counts of robbery and terroristic threats. Buzzone is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday, Gerould said.

Phillipsburg Man Nabbed In Armed Robbery At Lehigh Valley Motel
A man from Phillipsburg was arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Lehigh Valley motel last month, authorities said. Jermaine M. Floyd, 37, and another man are accused of holding a woman and her sister at gunpoint in a room at the Knights Inn on Route 309 in Upper Saucon Township around 7 p.m. on Feb. 15, WMFZ reports. Floyd fled with $700 and was identified via a Facebook photo from one of the victims, who said she’s known him for seven years, the report said. A 29-year-old man was arrested for allegedly assaulting another man and then stealing items from his motel room. Sullivan County resident James Colon, of the village of Liberty, was arrested on Sunday, March 7, by state police after they responded to a Liberty motel for an assault and theft complaint, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
