Missing Stroudsburg Mom Found Dead Off Route 80 The human remains discovered in a wooded area off of Interstate 80 in Monroe County last week have been identified as belonging to a missing Stroudsburg woman, authorities have confirmed.  Dana Kristine Smithers, who was last seen nearly a year ago, was found near the Park Avenue/I-80 East on-ramp on Friday, April 28, Stroud Area Regional Police wrote in a release.  Smithers, who was 46, was identified via dental records, authorities said. Driver Seriously Hurt After Hitting Multiple Trees Off I-80 Warren County A 22-year-old driver was seriously hurt in a crash after striking multiple trees off Interstate 80, authorities said. Troopers responded to a crash on Saturday, March 11 at 9:13 pm on I-80 east near milepost 7, in Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey State Police said. Based on a preliminary investigation, Michael Bianco, of Metuchen, was traveling east when the vehicle lost control, went off the roadway and hit multiple trees, State Police said. As a result of the crash, the driver sustained serious injuries, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

Crash That Closed I-80 In Morris County Involved 3 Trucks The crash that closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 at Monday's rush hour involved a pickup truck and two tractor-trailers, authorities said. No one was seriously hurt in the crash that occurred at 4:22 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 on I-80 at milepost 39.4 in Denville, Morris County, New Jersey State Police said. Based on a preliminary investigation, the three trucks were traveling on I-80 east when a collision occurred.  The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
