Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Part Of I-81 In Central PA
A multi-vehicle crash closed part of Interstate 81 closed in central Pennsylvania on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and state police. The crash happened on I-81 southbound at Exit 52 - US 11/To Pennsylvania Turnpike I-76 around 3:30 p.m. on Mar. 16, according to PennDOT. Pennsylvania state police trooper Megan Ammerman clarified it involves a vehicle fuel leak near mile marker 51.4 in Middlesex Township, Carlisle. Drivers are asked to avoid the area. Police, firefighters and EMS crews were called on a report of a tractor-trailer rolling over in Burlington County, authorities said. The truck overturned about 11:30 a.m. Friday on the 1000 block of Route 206 in Bordentown, according to initial reports. Tractor-Trailer Crash Blocks Route 80 Ramp
A tractor-trailer jackknifed Monday on a busy Route 80 ramp headed toward the New Jersey Turnpike. No injuries were reported in the mishap on the Ridgefield Park ramp from the eastbound highway onto southbound Route 95 shortly before 1 p.m., responders said. State police are on the scene of a crash in which a piece of equipment fell off of a tractor-trailer during a rollover crash. The crash took place in Sullivan County after 8 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, on Rock Hill Drive in Rock Hill, said Trooper Steven Nevel. The U.S. government is suing companies that control several gas stations in New York and New Jersey for allegedly violating regulations governing the maintenance of underground fuel tanks, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York announced last week.
