Shortly after 1 p.m. on Feb. 15, DC Fire and EMS personnel reported that they were called to the Eastern Market Metro station, where there was smoke on the platform, officials say. At app 12:50p, the operator Silver Line train 638 at Eastern Market reported an "explosion" on their train, and resulting heavy smoke. Update: 8 Saint Clare’s ER Patients Evacuated Due To Mechanical Fire, Heavy Smoke Eight patients were evacuated from the emergency room of Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville due to heavy smoke conditions from a mechanical fire Monday afternoon, authorities said. The fire broke out in an air handler on the roof due to a mechanical failure around 12 p.m. Monday, Denville Police Capt. Jeffrey Tucker said.
