Greene County 911 was first alerted of trouble at around 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 20, with reports of a diesel spill in Catskill Creek in the village of Catskill, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). Among the sites slated for clean-up are the Spalding sports equipment manufacturing facility on Meadow Street and properties along the North Chicopee Street Corridor, said Congressman Richard Neal.
