Motorcyclist, 20, Dies In Route 23 Crash
A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a Sussex County crash over the weekend, State Police said.
Ryan Woodstead was heading south on Route 23 in Montague on his Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with a Chrysler Pacifica making a lefthand turn, around 5:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said.
Woodstead, of Highland Lakes, was thrown from his bike and died, near milepost 52, Lebron said.
The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available.
Sayville Residents Pull Woman From Burning Car After Southern State Crash In Babylon
Two Long Island residents are being hailed as heroes after pulling a woman from a burning car following a crash on the Southern State Parkway.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 eastbound near Exit 35 in Babylon.
The driver, Nancy Brady, age 58, of West Sayville, was traveling eastbound, in a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica, on the Southern State Parkway when her vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and caught on fire, state police said.

A man from South Carolina was found with psychedelic mushrooms, THC vape cartridges and a gun he was not allowed to posses, during a traffic stop on Interstate 81 in central Pennsylvania, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police.
Christopher Warran Williams, 35, of Columbia, South Carolina was stopped while driving a red 2021 Chrysler Pacifica with Georgia plates along I-81 at mile marker 64 in East Pennsboro Township in Cumberland County on Tuesday around 5 p.m., according to the release and court documents.
