Rye's Jake Meyerson Snags All-Liberty Baseball Honors In College

RYE, N.Y. -- Rye's Jake Meyerson earned second-team All-Liberty League honors this spring, for the second baseball season in a row.

The Rye High School graduate hit .313 with seven doubles, one triple, three home runs, 30 RBI and 25 runs scored. He ended the season ranked third in the Liberty League in at-bats, eighth in home runs, ninth in RBI and 10th in hits. Meyerson was perfect in stolen bases, going six for six attempts. He drew 13 walks and added three HBP for a .368 OBP. Ranked second on UR in multi-RBI games and was third in multi-hit games.

Meyerson, a senior, was the only Rochester player to appear in all 41 games this season. 

Meyerson was Rochester’s top hitter at the conference tournament, going 5-9 with two doubles and three runs batted in. He had a career-high four RBI against Clarkson on May 7. He finished his college career with a .301 batting average -- including 120 hits, 60 RBI and 74 runs scored.
