As general manager, Antico will provide sales leadership for the University of Delaware’s sports property, conceptualize and execute sales and sponsorship programs, and oversee all fulfillment activity.

A standout athlete at Rye High School, Antico was a two-time All-State football player and led the team to the 2005 state title. He also was captain of the basketball team.

Antico is going to Delaware after serving as IMG account executive at the University of Connecticut for the past three years. He also previously worked as an IMG sponsorship sales representative for the Mid-America Conference in Cleveland, Ohio in 2011-12.

"I am extremely excited and honored to be a part of the Blue Hens family and the University of Delaware," said Antico.

"The tradition, passion, and pride Delawareans have for their athletic programs is outstanding and something I am excited to experience. For the state of Delaware, the Blue Hens are the home team and it resides with people near and far. I am fortunate to be able to market a tremendous brand and look forward to exploring all of the different aspects this market has to offer. More importantly, I look forward to meeting all of the people associated with this great University and the local community that supports it."

At the University of Connecticut, Antico developed new business partnerships in health-care, QSR and secondary ticketing, created the largest men's soccer sponsorship in the IMG College Portfolio, and pioneered the UConn Chevy Road to the Final Four campaign that was featured in the Sports Business Journal.

Antico earned his bachelor's degree in marketing and management from Georgetown University in 2011. While at Georgetown, he was a four-year letter winner and a two-year starter for the Hoya football team as an offensive lineman. He was awarded the team's Spirit and Courage Award as a senior in 2010.

He is single and lives in Wilmington, Del.
