RYE, N.Y. -- Charlotte Nixon of Rye is one five swimmers from Connecticut College who has qualified to represent the team at the Division III NCAA championships.
Nixon, a freshman, swam a leg on the 200-yard medley relay team that finished second at the conference championships. Nixon joined teammates Sarah Nappo, Anna Peterson and Sam Pierce on the relay. Valerie Urban qualified for nationals with a win in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
Nixon competed for Rye High School. Connecticut College is ranked 16th in the nation in Division III women's swimming. The Camels finished sixth in the competitive New England Small College Athletic Conference championships.
