Rye Student Athletes Sign Letters Of Intent

RYE, N.Y. -- Three Rye High School seniors recently signed National Letters of Intent in a ceremony at Rye High School.

Alexis Hios will play golf at Towson University, Jonah Shainberg will be on the fencing team at University of Notre Dame, and Laz Chavez will play lacrosse at the University of Syracuse, district representatives said. The students, members of their families and coaches were joined by Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics Robert Castagna, Rye High School Principal Patricia Taylor and other administrators in the ceremony on Nov. 13. 

"The Rye City School District and Rye High School community congratulate these skilled athletes and wish them continued success in the future," district representatives said.
