Rye Playland To Host Free Youth Hockey Clinic

RYE, N.Y. – Playland Ice Casino will host the second annual “Try Hockey For Free Day” on Nov. 4 for boys and girls ages four through nine.

Former New York Ranger Dave Maloney will give lessons on the fundamentals of the game.

The program will consist of two one-hour sessions starting at 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Playland will provide all necessary equipment and no skating experience is required.

Each child who attends will receive a free Rangers hockey stick.

The event is part of “Come Play Hockey Month,” a joint effort by USA Hockey, the National Hockey League, NHL clubs and OneGoal to get new, young players interested and involved in the sport.
