Rye Pins Three in Loss to Ardsley

RYE, N.Y. – Joe Simolacaj, Jeff Dempsey and Jackson Kligerman pinned for host Rye in a 45-30 loss to Ardsley, Monday, in a high school wrestling match.

Simolacaj, who won the Mamaroneck Tiger Tournament 182-pound title earlier this month, was leading when he pinned his opponent with one second remaining in the first period.Dempsey and Kligerman preceded their teammate with finishes. Dempsey had the quickest pin of the day – 34 seconds – and Kligerman was not far behind at 1:23.
