RYE, N.Y. – The schedule makers were not kind to the Rye varsity boys soccer team.

This week began with a game against archrival Harrison on Monday. After two days off for Yom Kippur, the Garnets (2-3) face a grueling four-game stretch in seven days, beginning Thursday at Port Chester. The Rams played for the Section 1 Class A title last year. On Saturday, Rye will host Byram Hills at 7 p.m. The Bobcats advanced to the Section 1 Class A semifinals last year.

Following a weekend off, Rye will host 2011 Section 1 Class C titlist Alexander Hamilton and then go to Horace Greeley on Wednesday to face the Class AA power.
