The tournament has drawn a number of high caliber players from around the world.  They include Tertius Raubenheimer of South Africa; Ricky Weisskopf, four-time National Champion of El Salvador; Rob Wilkins, former member of the Wales National Squash Team, who coaches in Stamford, Conn; Faraz Khan, member of the U.S. Pan-American Games Team; Andrew Hilboldt, former No. 1 at Bowdoin College in Maine, and more.

Raubenheimer, 30, is originally from South Africa and is now a Pelham resident who teaches at Westchester Squash and coaches the Bronxville school teams.

He has played squash since he was 12 years old, and moved to the U.S. in 2008 to pursue a professional career playing squash.

He told The Daily Voice "One of the best things about squash is it gives you complete workout but without you even thinking about it. You're just playing a game, getting a work out while you do it," he said.

Raubenheimer burns up to 1,400 calories each game of squash, which is under consideration by the International Olympic Commitee to be officially added as a sport to the 2020 summer Olympics.

"It's a massive mind game," he said, "you're playing chess and its moving really quickly. That’s really fun. It’s a big game at high energy."

Matches will be held throughout the weekend and fans can get a close up view of the sport’s fast action from top players. Post squash entertainment includes a performance by the band, Room 237, which is comprised of recent Rye High School graduates.
