Popular Football, Little League Coach Honored For 30 Years Of Service

HARRISON, N.Y. -- This past weekend the Harrison Husky football family honored the legendary Art Troilo, Jr. for his outstanding accomplishments as a championship coach, devoted teacher and integral member of the Harrison community.

Troilo retired from coaching in 2014 and from teaching this past January after 30 years of service.

The Town of Harrison officially declared Saturday April 16 "Coach Art Troilo, Jr. Day." This coincided with him being named as the 2016 Harrison Little League Baseball's "Man of the Year."

More than 100 people attended the dinner at Halstead's Bar & Grill which truly was a spectacular evening. 

"As a former player and assistant coach under him, I can attest to the amazing impact that Coach Troilo has had within the Harrison community, including thousands of players, said John Stubenvoll "With countless championships and coach of the year honors to his credit he is widely considered to be one of the greatest coaches in NY state history, said Stubenvoll, one of the dinner's organizers.
