Brich was interviewed on ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike" on Monday morning, July 28, and said that he felt the punishment handed out to Rice is one that would dissuade other players from engaging in similar activities, CBS Sports reported.

Rice elected not to appeal the suspension, CBS Sports said.
