City of Rye to Hold Women's Tennis Tryouts

RYE, N.Y. – The City of Rye announced that Rye recreation will hold tryouts for its 2012 women’s tennis team on Tuesday, March 20 at 9:30 a.m. with a rainout date of Wednesday, March 21 at 9:30 a.m.

The tryouts will take place at the Disbrow Park Tennis Courts.

The team will compete in the B Division of the Westchester County Tennis League. Games will be played on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. with makeup games on Thursday at the same time from April to June.

All participants must be 18 years or older and must be either assessed or self-assessed as a USTA 3.5 to 4.0 player. All members will have to buy a 2012 Rye Recreation Tennis Pass for the season and the team captain will collect additional fees for balls.
