Rye Scholar Named National Achievement Semifinalist

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Students from local and private schools across nine Westchester County towns were among 1,600 semifinalists chosen for the 2015 National Achievement Scholarship program, reports LoHud.com.

Semifinalists and finalists are chosen based on Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test scores, according to the report.

Here  are the local semifinalists:

Jordan L. Alligood and Evie Brandford-Altsher, Hastings High School.

Ashleigh M. Genus and Evan C. Stapleton, New Rochelle High School
