U.S. News Ranks Rye High School Ninth Best In New York

RYE, N.Y. -- Rye High School was named the ninth best high school in New York and the 61st best high school in the country by U.S. News and World Report.

Rye High School was awarded a gold medal in the magazine's annual ranking of the best high schools. Rye students scored an 84 on the magazine's college readiness index, which is based on advanced placement exam participation rates and the percentage of students passing at least one exam.

Rye High School is the top public high school in New York on the list.

One hundred percent of students were proficient in math, and 99 percent were proficient in English.
