The workshops foster academic success by teaching students key study strategies that help them learn and achieve better academic success.
The first workshop, Study Skills 100, for students in grades 5-8, will be Sundays Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 and 8 from noon to 12:30 p.m.
The second workshop, Study Skills 100, for students in grades 9-12, will be Sundays Jan. 25 and February 1 and 8 from 3-5:30 p.m.
The third workshop, Study Skills 200, for students in grades 8-12, will be Sundays Feb. 22 and March 1 and 8 from 3-5:30 p.m.
The fourth workshop, 12 Ways to Start a Sentence, for students in grades 5-7, will be Sundays Feb. 22 and March 1 and 8 from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
The Study Skills Workshops will be at School of the Holy Child, 2225 Westchester Ave., Rye.
The S4 program is founded on educational research and evidence-based studies. Its highly interactive approach is designed to clearly demonstrate how to apply students’ own curriculum and course material to the taught methodologies and systems. The workshops are taught by experience teachers. Each class is limited to 15 students.
The Study Skills 100 and Study Skills 200 workshops, each three sessions and 7.5 hours, are $395. The 12 Ways to Start a Sentence workshop is three sessions and six hours and costs $295. A 10 percent discount for a second workshop or sibling is being offered and a 20 percent discount for a third workshop will be manually credited after registration.
