RYE, N.Y. -- The Rye City School District celebrated Thanksgiving enjoying food and helping the community.
Students at Midland School participated in a food drive and collected nearly 1,000 food items for delivery to the Carver Center in Port Chester. Milton School second- graders hosted a special Family Feast. Rye Middle School students wrote about and shared their favorite things with their fellow classmates and families.
Reach Out Rye organized a food drive for the County Harvest and Don Bosco. Students helped collect more than 600 items and the entire school received a pajama day as a reward.
