Rye School District Accepts New Scoreboard

RYE, N.Y. -- The Rye School District recently received a newly-installed scoreboard at Nugent Stadium.

The Rye Scoreboard Committee recently provided the scoreboard as a gift to the district. Community members raised funds for the project and Superintendent of Schools Frank Alvarez and Board of Education President Laura Slack expressed gratitude at the Sept. 24 Board of Education meeting, according to a news release from the district. The scoreboard unveiling was celebrated with a ribbon cutting during halftime of the Sept. 27 Garnets football game.
