RYE, N. Y. — The turf field at Rye High School was packed (and it wasn't for a Rye vs. Harrison football game) with proud family members of Rye High School's Class of 2015 on Saturday.

Students marched into the football field from the school wearing their school colors with pride, and were applauded by their family and friends.

Rye High's principal, Patricia Taylor, acknowledged some honored guests at the Class of 2015's graduation, the board of education members, Rye's Mayor Joseph Sack, along with Rye's  Director of Physical Education, Robert Castagna, Superintendent of Schools Frank Alvarez and many other key faculty members.

"You have excelled academically, which is what brought us to this moment in time, but you have demonstrated exceptional talent in the performing arts and and visual arts, championship spirit on the athletic field as well as compassion and caring for your community," said Alvarez.

Patty Amedeo, a generational Rye resident was with her granddaughter, Bree Amedeo to congratulate, Charlotte Romano.

"This ceremony is lovely and I really enjoy the music interldes," said Amedeo. Bree was enjoying the music as well as she danced to the music.

Nickei Sha Horsham came to see her cousin Collin Anderson graduate. Horsham is a graduate of Rye High's 98 class.
