RYE, N.Y. -- Thirteen Rye Country Day School seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Competition.

The students are Dylan Bronson, William Chai, Nathaniel Cooney, Jelani Denis, Charles Freedman, Sydney Ginsberg, Tyler Harkness, Tyler Kaye, Adam Kozek, Jeremy Levenson, Peter Shu, Natalie Sternberg and Katherine Tyler.

According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, Commended Students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition by taking the 2012 PSAT/NMSQT.
