PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- It's not too late to buy tickets for Port Chester High School Drama Club's spring musical.

Is that Dolly Parton? Close. It's Elizabeth Montemurro playing Doralee Rhodes in "9 to 5!" at Port Chester High School. Ryan Heffernan (seated) plays the unlikeable boss, "Mr. Hart," also known as Franklin Hart Jr.

Students were working overtime at rehearsals this week for Thursday's debut of "9 to 5!"

The show will continue tor three nights, starting at 7 p.m., on March 30, Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1.

9 to 5! is proof that the PCHS Drama Club is eager to be relevant and thought-provoking. The show is an exciting and purposeful musical, with lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick and is based on the hit 1980s film that starred Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda and Dolly Parton. Elizabeth Montemurro, who plays Dolly's role of "Doralee Rhodes" even looks and sounds like Parton.

The musical adaptation stays true to the heart of the story and shows an evolving world where the boy’s club mentality was moving out and brazenly independent women were moving up.

Tickets cost $18 for adults and $15 for students or senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here: www.brownpapertickets.com (keyword: Port Chester). A limited number of tickets can be purchased before each performance at the door. In addition, the Drama Club offers two levels of “highly appreciated patron” tickets: fan for $30 and supporter for $50.

The amazing Drama Club cast (which totals more than 30 including ensemble and swim boys) and 23-member crew will inspire all with their determination to keep the conversation going.

Leading up to the three performances have been long evenings of singing and laughing that reverberate down the halls of the school and create quite an exciting buzz for this year’s musical.

“We are thrilled to be creating the highest quality theater experience possible and are grateful for the support of the entire Port Chester School District and its ongoing commitment to the ever growing drama club,” said PCHS English teacher Stephanie Darrow, the show’s producer.

Others on the production team are Steve Loftus (Director/musical director) and Tricia Arenson (Associate Director/choreographer), Xiomara De La Hoz (Stage Manager), Diana Maldonado (Lead Crew), and Taylor Masi (Dance Captain).
