More College Closures Expected In Upcoming Years

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The rate at which colleges close their doors for good is expected to accelerate in the coming years, according to Market Watch. 

Experts believe more colleges will suffer the same fate as Sweet Briar College in Virginia and be forced to close their doors.

Prior to 2013, an average of five nonprofit schools closed up shop each year. Reduced enrollment stemming from student worries about accumulating debt and poor job prospects have put many schools on unsteady financial ground, Market Watch reported.
